Borosilicate 3.3 and 4.0 have excellent thermal shock resistance and high softening point temperature. Borosilicate 4.0 can generate enough preheating stress to meet the use requirements of safety glass; Density is more than 8% lower than traditional soda-calcium glass.
Borosilicate 4.0 plate glass after tempered, single glass thickness of 6mm and above, all meet the fire integrity of 3 hours fire test. Therefore, borosilicate 4.0 plate glass is an ideal material to replace the traditional float glass in the field of building fire prevention.
Borosilicate 4.0 plate glass hardness is high, close to Mohs hardness grade 7 (ordinary float grade 6); Good wear resistance, under the same load conditions, only one fourth of ordinary glass; Chemical corrosion resistance is strong, there is no ordinary glass mold problem. Therefore, this kind of glass surface damage is small, long service life.
